District Collector calls upon unemployed youth to avail UYEGP loans

Coimbatore: District Collector K.Rajamani has called upon unemployed youth applicants to make use of the UYEGP loan, which could be availed in the respective Panchayat Union Offices.

Coimbatore: District Collector K.Rajamani has called upon unemployed youth applicants to make use of the UYEGP loan, which could be availed in the respective Panchayat Union Offices. 

The Govt of Tamil Nadu has implemented UYEGP (Unemployed Youth Employment Generation Programme). According to this scheme, the unemployed youth of the state hailing from both town and villages can avail a loan for starting a new business. According to this scheme, the applicants will get Rs 10 Lakhs for starting a manufacturing business, Rs 3 Lakhs for service-related business and Rs 1 Lakh for sale business.

Besides the state government provides 25% subsidy with a maximum amount of Rs 1, 25,000. However, it is to be noted that at least 5% of self-investment is a must. 

The individuals of 18 plus years can make use of this scheme provided the family's annual income doest not exceed Rs. 1, 50,000.

It is to be noted that mortgaging properties are not required to avail the loan. The age limit for the general category is 35 years old, and for the special category it is 45 years and the education qualification should be 8th pass. 

The limit set for this year is for 295 applicants with a total loan amount of Rs 600 Lakhs and subsidy of Rs. 175 Lakhs. 

Special motivating camp will be held in the respective panchayat union offices from 11.00 AM to 5.45 PM for more information on the plan.

08.08.2019 - Panchayat Union Office, Periyanaickenpalayam.

20.08.2019 - Panchayat Union Office, Thondamuthur.

21.08.2019 - Panchayat Union Office, Kinathukadavu.

27.08.2019 - Panchayat Union Office, Sultanpettai.

29.08.2019 - Panchayat Union Office, Karamadai.

30.08.2019 - Panchayat Union Office, Madukkarai.

04.09.2019 - Panchayat Union Office, Annur.

06.09.2019 - Panchayat Union Office, Pollachi North Zone.

17.09.2019 - Panchayat Union Office, Anaimalai. 

19.09.2019- Panchayat Union Office, Sulur.

24.09.2019 - Panchayat Union Office, Pollachi, South Zone. 

Interested applicants can apply with their passport size photos, original and two xerox copies of Education qualification, Family Card, Aadhar Card, Voter Id. People without a family card can bring the Residential Certificate issued by Tahsildar, Community Certificate, Cost estimation of the machine needed, and the Bank passbook.
