Car-Free Sundays enters fifth week with new events

With the overwhelming support and response from the residents, the ‘Car-Free Sundays’ initiative of The Hindu Tamil in partnership with Coimbatore Corporation and Coimbatore City Traffic Police has arranged a new set of events for the fifth week on March 27.

A variety of events are lined up for the participants on NSR Road in Coimbatore from 6.30 a.m. to 9 a.m. The Hindu – English is the media partner.

Events

The events will begin with an aerobic session by Bethovan, street play by MSW students of CMS college, solo dance performance by S. Ashwin of Sri Ramakrishna Polytechnic, karaoke with Radio City, children’s painting exhibition by RAAC, live music streaming by DPS Music, a skit on nature conservation by students of AJK College, Zumba and Bharathanatyam performance by Ranjith. In addition to this, on the entire 800 meter stretch there would be portrait sketching, tattooing, children displaying their drawing skills, cycling, besides a host of games by local residents and children. Radio City is the Radio Partner and Mark 1 Events is the event manager.
