Vadavalli Police have arrested Anand and is on the lookout for his three accomplices for threatening an advocate.According to the police, advocate M. Sathishkumar, a resident of Vadavalli, claimed that he prepared a will for an aged man by name Narayanasamy Naidu, in 2009. The police said that on September 14, 2015, another advocate Madhavan published an advertisement in newspaper in connection with that property for which he had written the will.
The picture of a many by name Narayanasamy Naidu that was on the advertisement was not the person Sathiskumar had earlier met. Sathishkumar later came to know that the man for whom he prepared the will was Soundararajan and furnished information on the incident in a reply petition to the other advocate in October 2015.
On March 5, Soundararajan and the trio Palanivel, Babu and Anand went to Sathiskumar’s house, asking him to give witness in their favour in connection with a case on the above said incident – that was pending before a Coimbatore Court.
Following Sathiskumar’s refusal, the gang of four allegedly threatened to kill him with his family if he did not oblige.
On a complaint lodge by Sathiskumar, a case was registered against the four under sections 448 (house trespass), 294(b) (using abusive language), 323 (voluntarily causing hurt) and 506(ii) (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code.
