MBC Rights Retrieval Conference for Telugu Chettiar Community to be Held in Salem

The 24 Manai Telugu Chettiar Peravai announces an MBC Rights Retrieval Conference in Salem on August 16, with participants expected from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and abroad.


Coimbatore: The 24 Manai Telugu Chettiar Peravai has announced that an MBC (Most Backward Class) Rights Retrieval Conference will be held in Salem on August 16. The announcement was made following a consultative meeting held at the Kamakshi Amman Temple hall in Pollachi.

Jegannath Mishra, the State President of the 24 Manai Telugu Chettiar Peravai, chaired the meeting, which was attended by city and union administrators, as well as youth wing officials from Pollachi, Kinathukadavu, and Anaimalai areas. The attendees decided to conduct the Salem conference successfully.



Speaking to reporters after the meeting, Jegannath Mishra stated that the conference in Salem is expected to draw lakhs of participants not only from Tamil Nadu but also from Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and even from foreign countries. He mentioned that invitations have been extended to leaders of all political parties.

Mishra emphasized that the conference in Salem would serve as an MBC Rights Retrieval Conference for the 24 Manai Telugu Chettiar community. The event aims to address and reclaim the community's rights within the Most Backward Class category, highlighting the importance of this gathering for the Telugu Chettiar community's socio-economic status.
