Party general secretary and Chief Minister Jayalalithaa would begin the election campaign for May 16 Assembly polls from R K Nagar constituency in the city on April 9 where she is seeking re-election.

According to a AIADMK release the '"whirlwind" 14-day campaign would cover several districts of the State including Kancheepuram, Salem, Trichy, Madurai, Coimbatore, Tanjavur and Tirunelveli.

Jayalalithaa would end her campaign on May 12 after visiting Vellore district and its surrounding constituencies.

During her poll campaign, the AIADMK chief will also go to Puducherry on April 25 and will address public meetings canvassing support for candidates of the party.
