Newly Elected Coimbatore Mayor Meets Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin in Chennai

On Friday, August 16, 2024, the newly elected Coimbatore Mayor R. Ranganayaki met Youth Welfare and Sports Development Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin in Chennai, receiving his congratulations and blessings.


The newly elected Mayor of Coimbatore Corporation, R. Ranganayaki, met with Udhayanidhi Stalin, the DMK Youth Wing Secretary and Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, in Chennai on Friday, August 16, 2024. During the meeting, the Minister extended his congratulations and best wishes to the newly elected Mayor.

The meeting was significant as it marked one of the first official interactions of the newly elected Mayor with the state leadership. Mayor Ranganayaki was accompanied by a delegation from Coimbatore, including N. Karthik, former MLA and DMK Coimbatore Urban District Secretary.

Also present at the meeting were P. Mariselvan, Chairman of the Coimbatore Corporation Health Committee, and Ramachandran, the 29th Ward DMK Secretary. The presence of these local leaders underscored the importance of the meeting and the strong connection between the local administration and the state government.

This meeting is seen as a positive step towards fostering a good working relationship between the Coimbatore Corporation and the state government, potentially paving the way for collaborative efforts in the development of Coimbatore city.
