Coimbatore: The Coimbatore South District Congress Committee organized a protest demonstration at Thiruvalluvar Thidal in Pollachi, condemning BJP senior leader H. Raja's derogatory remarks about opposition leader Rahul Gandhi. The protest was led by district president N.K. Bhagavathi.
H. Raja's controversial comments about Rahul Gandhi have sparked widespread outrage, leading to protests by Congress party members across Tamil Nadu. During the demonstration, slogans were raised against H. Raja and the central government.
Addressing the gathering, District President N.K. Bhagavathi said, "H. Raja has criticized a great leader who has lost his grandmother and father for the nation, and who has donated his family's assets for the country's welfare, calling him anti-national." He warned that if H. Raja continues to criticize Rahul Gandhi, they would respond with strong protests wherever he goes.
The Congress members expressed their anger over the disrespectful comments made by the BJP leader and demanded an apology. They emphasized Rahul Gandhi's contributions and sacrifices for the nation, stating that such derogatory remarks against a national leader were unacceptable.
