Congress Files Complaints Against BJP and Shiv Sena Leaders for Remarks on Rahul Gandhi in Tirupur

Congress party members in Tirupur South district filed complaints at 11 police stations against BJP and Shiv Sena leaders for their inflammatory remarks about Rahul Gandhi, demanding immediate action.

Coimbatore: The Congress party in Tirupur South district has filed complaints at 11 police stations, including Dharapuram, Alangiyam, Kundadam, Moolanur, Udumalaipettai, and Madathukulam, against BJP and Shiv Sena leaders for their harsh comments against Rahul Gandhi. The complaints were lodged under the leadership of Advocate Thennarasu, the Tirupur South District Congress President.

The complaints were filed against BJP leaders Darwinder Singh Marwah, Ravneet Singh Bittu, Raghuraj Singh, and Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad for their controversial statements.

Speaking to reporters after filing the complaint, Tiruppur South District President Thennarasu said, "We all know that the late Indira Gandhi and Rajiv Gandhi sacrificed their lives for the country. Yet, these leaders continue to make such threats. Indian politics cannot be pushed to a lower level than this. Not just one BJP leader, but many leaders have made such comments. However, BJP has not taken any action."

He further added, "Rahul Gandhi speaks for SC, ST, OBC, tribals, and minority communities. That's why BJP members don't like his words and threaten him. But this is the Congress party; we will not be afraid or intimidated."

Railway Minister of State Ravneet Singh Bittu referred to Rahul Gandhi as the "country's number one terrorist." BJP's Uttar Pradesh Minister Raghuraj Singh echoed the same sentiment.

Shiv Sena MLA Sanjay Gaikwad announced a reward of Rs 11 lakh for anyone who cuts off Rahul Gandhi's tongue.

The Congress party has urged that FIRs be registered immediately against these leaders under sections 351, 352, 353, and 61 of the IPC, citing that their statements were made deliberately to disturb peace and incite violence against Rahul Gandhi. They noted that these comments have been widely circulated on TV channels and social media.

During the complaint submission, Congress City President Senthil Kumar, spokesperson Muruganantham, Tiruppur Kalaimamani Kalarani, Deputy Chairman of the Municipality Ravichandran, and other Congress members including Kana Priya, Ashok Kumar, and Hakeem were present.
