Hindustan Makkal Seva Iyakkam submitted a petition to the Chief Minister and Home Secretary, urging the arrest and deportation of Bangladeshi nationals illegally settled in Coimbatore and Tirupur.
Coimbatore: A petition was submitted today (27.09.2023) at the Chennai Secretariat to the Chief Minister's Special Cell and the Tamil Nadu Home Secretary by the Hindustan Makkal Seva Iyakkam, demanding the arrest and deportation of individuals who have illegally settled in Coimbatore and Tirupur areas from Bangladesh.
The petition highlights that many people from Bangladesh are illegally settling in Coimbatore and Tirupur districts without any documents, seeking job opportunities in factories. It also mentions that individuals involved in criminal activities in Bangladesh are finding refuge in Tamil Nadu.
The petition points out that due to the current political situation in Bangladesh, many are attempting to come to Tamil Nadu, which could lead to law and order issues in the future. Therefore, it urges immediate action to arrest those illegally staying in Coimbatore and Tirupur from Bangladesh, investigate their criminal backgrounds, and deport them.
The petition was submitted by Lotus Manikandan, the founder of Hindustan Makkal Seva Iyakkam. M. Vinothkumar, the state president of the Hindu Renaissance Progressive Front, attended the event as a special invitee.
