Coimbatore: On the occasion of Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran paid respects to the statue of the Father of the Nation at the Coimbatore Corporation main office premises on October 2.

The Mayor garlanded the statue and offered floral tributes as a mark of respect.

The ceremony was attended by several prominent officials and council members. Deputy Mayor R. Vetri Selvan, Corporation Deputy Commissioner K. Sivakumar, and Town Planning Committee Chairman Somu (aka) Santhosh were present at the event. Other attendees included Assistant Commissioners Mahesh Kanagaraj (Revenue) and Senthil Kumaran (Central Zone), as well as Council members Praveen Raj and Shanthi.
Also present were Assistant Engineer Hemalatha, Health Inspector Dhanapal, and other Corporation officials, who joined in paying homage to Mahatma Gandhi on his birth anniversary.
