Gandhi Jayanti, Shastri's Birthday, and Kamarajar Memorial Day Observed in Coimbatore

Gandhi Jayanti, Lal Bahadur Shastri's birthday, and Kamarajar Memorial Day were observed in Periyar Nagar, near Puliyakulam, Coimbatore on October 2. The event was organized by the Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Raj organization.


Coimbatore: The birth anniversaries of Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri, along with the memorial day of Karmaveer Kamarajar, were observed on October 2 in Periyar Nagar, near Puliyakulam in Coimbatore district.

The event was organized by the Rajiv Gandhi Panchayat Raj organization. M.S. Parthiban Kumar, the city district president, presided over the function and paid floral tributes to the portraits of the national leaders.

The observance of these significant dates serves as a reminder of the contributions made by these great leaders to India's freedom struggle and nation-building efforts. Mahatma Gandhi's principles of non-violence and civil disobedience, Lal Bahadur Shastri's call for self-reliance, and Kamarajar's dedication to education and social welfare continue to inspire generations of Indians.
