A South India-level motorcycle race was organized in Pollachi's Aachipatti to mark Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin's birthday, featuring over 200 riders from four states competing in 16 categories.
Coimbatore: A grand South India-level motorcycle race was held in Aachipatti, Pollachi, to celebrate the birthday of Tamil Nadu Deputy Chief Minister and DMK Youth Wing Secretary Udhayanidhi Stalin. The event, organized by the Coimbatore South District Youth Wing of DMK, saw enthusiastic participation from riders across four southern states.
Human Resources Development Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj inaugurated the race by waving the flag. The event was coordinated by Manimalai Thendral, the District Youth Wing Deputy Organizer.
Over 200 motorcyclists from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Andhra Pradesh, and Karnataka participated in the competition, showcasing a diverse array of motorcycles. The race featured 16 different categories, thrilling spectators with high-speed performances that kicked up dust clouds as the bikes roared across the track.
Winners of the competition are set to receive prizes worth Rs. 2.50 lakhs along with trophies. The event attracted a large crowd of motorsport enthusiasts and DMK party functionaries.
Notable attendees included Dr. Mahendran, Deputy Secretary of the State Information Technology Team, Thendral Selvaraj, a member of the Law Committee, Sabari Karthikeyan, Coimbatore South District Youth Wing Organizer, Amudha Bharathi, a general committee member, and Gautaman, Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Council, among other party executives.
The motorcycle race not only served as a birthday celebration for Udhayanidhi Stalin but also as a platform to promote motorsports in the region, bringing together riders and enthusiasts from across South India.
