Garuda Seva, similar to Tirupati Brahmotsavam, was conducted in three temples of Panneermadai, Coimbatore. Devotees gathered in large numbers, undeterred by rain. Annadanam was later served to all participants.
Coimbatore: A Garuda Seva, reminiscent of the Tirupati Brahmotsavam, was conducted at three major temples in Panneermadai near Thudiyalur, Coimbatore. The event saw a massive turnout of devotees.
The special event took place at three temples: Arulmiku Selva Vinayagar Temple, Arulmiku Sri Ulagalantha Perumal Temple, and Arulmiku Sri Krishnaswamy Temple. The Garuda Seva was conducted in a manner similar to the annual Brahmotsavam at the Tirupati Venkateswara Temple.

The festivities began with Thirumanjanam (holy bath) and special pujas for Sri Ulagalantha Perumal along with Sridevi and Bhudevi. Following this, the deity was adorned with special decorations, and female devotees performed Kummi dance. Amidst devotional songs by Bhajan groups, the Lord was taken out on the Garuda Vahanam.
The procession of the Lord through the main streets of Panneermadai village was conducted with great fervor. Despite heavy rainfall, devotees participated enthusiastically, undeterred by the weather. At the conclusion of the event, Annadanam (free food) was served to all devotees.
The arrangements for this event were overseen by temple president Selvaraj, secretary Mohanraj, deputy secretary T.P. Rajendran, and others. Administrators P.T. Gopalasamy, Selvaraj, Thambi Balakrishnan, Mohanraj, Jayapal, Barani, Jayachandran, Vishwanathan, Ponnusamy, and Ramasamy also assisted with the preparations.
