Coimbatore: The Kakkapalayam Medu Udayamarathu Karuppasamy Temple in Annur, Coimbatore district, witnessed a surge of devotees on Ayudha Puja day (October 11). The temple, famous in the Annur region, is a popular spot for new vehicle owners to perform puja and seek blessings.

It has become a custom for people in Annur and surrounding areas to visit this temple after purchasing new vehicles. Long-distance call taxi drivers and heavy vehicle operators also make it a point to stop here and offer prayers before their journeys.
