Power Outage Announced for Mettupalayam and Irugur Areas Tomorrow

The Electricity Board has announced power cuts in Mettupalayam and Irugur areas on October 15 due to monthly maintenance work at the substations. The outage will affect several localities from 9 AM to 5 PM.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced power outages in Mettupalayam and Irugur areas on Sunday, October 15, due to scheduled monthly maintenance work at the respective substations.

In Mettupalayam, the power cut will be in effect from 9 AM to 5 PM. The affected areas include Ayyampalayam, Pappampalayam, Mangalapatti, Mandapuram, Veppampalayam, Kovilpalayam, Athipalayam, K.G. Puthur, N.G. Valasu, Varakkalippalayam, and Mettupalayam.

For the Irugur substation, the power outage is scheduled from 9 AM to 4 PM. The areas that will experience the power cut are Irugur, Ottarpalayam, parts of Pallapalayam, parts of Kannampalayam, Venkittapuram, parts of Goldwins, Ondiputhur, Ravuthur, Sindhamaniputhur, parts of Chinniyampalayam, and parts of Thotti Palayam.

The Electricity Board has advised residents and businesses in these areas to plan accordingly and make necessary arrangements to manage their electricity needs during the specified hours. The maintenance work is part of TNEB's routine upkeep to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network in the region.

Consumers are requested to cooperate with the Electricity Board during this temporary inconvenience. Normal power supply will be restored as soon as the maintenance work is completed in both Mettupalayam and Irugur substations.
