Harrisons Malayalam Limited – RP Sanjiv Goenka Group has won eight awards at the Golden Leaf India Award: Southern Tea Competition.
According to a press release from the United Planters’ Association of Southern India, the final tasting session of the 12{+t}{+h}edition of the award was held in Dubai.
As many as 56 teas were short-listed for the final evaluation.
Renowned tasters and major buyers took part in the final evaluation, the release said.
The others winners are: Joonktollee Tea and Industries and United Nilgiri Tea Estates Company won five awards each, Hittakkal Group won four awards, Parry Agro Industries and Woodbriar Group won three awards each, Darmona Tea Industry, Kanan Devan Hills Plantations, Kodanad Estate and Tata Coffee won two awards each and Balanoor Plantations and Industries and Harrisons Malayalam Limited won one award each.
