India Kawasaki Motors plans to increase production capacity in India, according to Yutaka Yamashita, its managing director.
The manufacturing facility in India includes engine assembly and frame assembly lines and the capacity now is 5,000 vehicles a year.
The increase in capacity will depend on demand.

Opening India Kawasaki’s 12th showroom and service centre here on Monday, Mr. Yamashita said the company exported parts to the tune of Rs. 30 crore in 2014 from India and it is expected to go up to Rs. 60 crore in 2016-2017. Exports are mainly to Japan, Thailand and Indonesia.

Two more dealerships will be opened by the end of this month in Guntur and Goa, he added.
