Perur Police have registered a case against four persons of a family for allegedly cheating 22 job aspirants by promising jobs in a leading Tamil Nadu-based private sector bank.
The case was registered based on a direction the complainant Mohammed Sha (52) of Madukkarai got from the Judicial Magistrate – I in Coimbatore.
According to the police, J. Vanajothi of Pachapalayam and her husband Jothi Reddy had reportedly collected Rs. 76 lakh from Mohammed Sha, before March 2012, promising jobs for 22 of his friends and relatives in a private sector bank. The woman had claimed that she was a director in the private sector bank.
But they did not get them any jobs. The couple had reportedly returned Rs. 21 lakh to Mohammed Sha. The police have registered a case against the couple and their two sons.
