A 70-year-old woman on Saturday sustained minor injuries in a gas cylinder blast.
The cylinder had exploded in a service shop and damaged the windshield of the bus on which she was travelling, injuring her in the process.
P Sita, a home maker from Ettimadai, was returning home when a gas cylinder from a shop exploded. "The wind shield was shattered and some glass pieces fell on Sita's back, and she sustained minor injuries," the police said.
Sita was rushed for treatment to a nearby private hospital, and later was sent home. Police found that the cylinder had burst in Ali's Traders, a service centre owned by Haneefa, who is on the run.
