The 1956 B.Sc. Agriculture batch of Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) will have a reunion here on Saturday.
The 80-plus old TNAU pass-outs will meet to celebrate the 60th year of their graduation. According to an alumnus and former Professor of Soil Science of TNAU: Kandasamy, there were 40 classmates out of which only one was a woman. She was no more. As many as 22 alumni would be attending the reunion.
It would not only be a moment of nostalgia and happiness as they come together after many years, but also an opportunity for them to show gratitude to a teachers of theirs.
The alumni would honour their 96-year old teacher Dr. D. Daniel Sundararaj during the event. Mr. Kandasamy said that it would be a great moment as the octogenarians had taken much efforts to travel from Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Karnataka, to see their batch-mates.
TNAU Vice-Chancellor K. Ramasamy would be the chief guest.
