Three women doctors of Iswarya Women's Hospital and Fertility Center in the city were booked for medical negligence on Tuesday. The chargesheet was in connection with a toddler losing his eyesight after receiving treatment at the hospital.
The chargesheet stated that one of the women doctors pursued diploma in child health (DCH) from University of Sydney , but the degree was not approved by the Indian medical council. Despite that the doctor was functioning as a pediatrician in the hospital, the chargesheet alleged.
Director of the hospital Dr. Chandralekha, gynecologist Dr. Deepa and pediatrician Dr. Geetha Bharathi were named in the chargesheet.
