English and Tamil handwriting competitions

Prizes were distributed to the winners of the English and Tamil handwriting competitions conducted by Thulasi Pharmacies as part of their corporate social responsibility. Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Dean S. Mahimai Raja and managing director of Thulasi Pharmacies Private Limited M. Ramakrishnan distributed the prizes on Sunday.

They were winners of the month-long eighth edition of “Republic Day Children’s Handwriting Competition”. As many as 2.2 lakh students of Standard III to V from 840 government and private schools in Chennai, Madurai, Coimbatore, Trichy, Karur, Tirunelveli, Erode, Namakkal, and Krishnagiri districts and Bengaluru participated.

Prizes and certificates at the school level were distributed during the month-long campaign and the first 3 winners (each in English & Tamil Handwriting) at the State level were chosen by the panel of judges. Mega prizes such as digital camera, bicycle and musical keyboard were given away to the winners.
