Six students from a college in Sulur were arrested on Thursday for attacking second year MBA students with logs, iron rods and a two-wheeler chain. A police team has been formed to arrest seven more students who were allegedly involved in the attack.
Police said the arrested students allegedly demanded money from the group of second year students, who were at a birthday party . On their refusal to do so, the students assaulted them. Based on a complaint, Sulur police sub inspector Asai Thambi registered a case against the 13 engineering students and arrested six and remanded them to judicial custody.
