Teacher gets ICTACT Award

Thirty-five-year-old S. Dharmaraj, a teacher in the Panchayat Union Primary School at Denad, in Kotagiri Block, The Nilgiris, received the ‘techno teacher award’ of the ICT Academy of Tamil Nadu (ICTACT), at the Chennai Trade Centre recently.

As many as 2,297 teachers form seven States took part in the third year of the contest.

Innovative Teaching

Based on the online application wherein the applicants fulfilled details pertaining to how they used Information Communication Technology (ICT) tools for innovative teaching, top 10 applicants were called for a presentation before a jury.

Mr. Dharmaraj presented how the subject relevant videos that he made to make classroom teaching reach the students and this won him the award.
