The officials of the Election Commission are investigating a complaint by the members of the DMK that a few AIADMK workers today opened a bus shelter in Marichettipati on the outskirts, as part of the 68th birthday celebrations of their party chief, J. Jayalalithaa.

On learning about the incident, the DMK workers lodged the complaint with the Election Officer that the workers opened the shelter, with the name ‘Amma’ on top, with the phrase, ‘opened in connection with the 68th birthday celebrations,’ which amounted to violation of the election code of conduct, police said.

Investigations are on.
