City-based hospital launches medical kiosk at Coimbatore Junction

A city-based hospital recently launched a medical kiosk at the Coimbatore Junction railway station. Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan, inaugurated the medical assistance kiosk.

The kiosk will function 24 hours and will be manned by experienced intensive care staff and physician assistant. These medical professionals are trained to provide emergency first aid to critical patients before transferring them to the nearby hospital. The kiosk has the facilities to treat common ailments.

The kiosk, the latest addition in terms of providing medical assistance to passengers at the Coimbatore Junction railway station, is equipped with an ECG monitor, SPO2 monitor, defibrillator, and ECG machine, emergency drugs and IV fluids to handle emergency situations.

Recently, machines that educate passengers about their Body Mass Index (BMI) were installed at the Coimbatore Junction.
