Friends and family members team up for ‘Heels on Wheels’

From a team of college girls to groups with women aged above 50, as many as 37 teams participated in the sixth edition of ‘Heels on Wheels’ - an all-women four-wheel treasure hunt. It was organised by The Hindu on Sunday, as part of International Women’s Day celebrations.

The treasure hunt was conducted in three phases. The teams were given a kit in which there were seven to eight riddles to be solved and three to four items to be collected to move on to the next phase. The first leg was from The Hindu press on Kamarajar Road to Shanmugam Road in R.S. Puram, the second from there to Scheme Road in Race Course and final leg from there to Kuniyamuthur.

The event was presented by VLB Janakiammal College of Arts and Science and powered by PSR Silk Sarees. Associate partner was Twin Birds, Tirupur; automobile partner was Renault; hospitality partner was Sree Annaporna Sree Gowrisankar; logistics partner was Coimbatore Auto Sports Club; experience partner was Trio Event Managers; mall partner – Fun Republic and gift partners were Sakthi Gold and Banaanaa Slice.

Vidhya Anand and her team bagged the first prize with just 91 penalty points. V. Ragini and team came second with 104 penalty points and S. Sanjana and team got the third place with 116 penalty points.

In the cookery contest Ms. Rahiya Rasheed, Ms. Kannathal and Ms. Sudha bagged the first three prizes in the cookery contest organised by The Hindu.
