Coimbatore: R Harimaran a class 7 student at Lisieux Matriculation Higher Secondary School here has won gold in the recently concluded state level karate competition organised by School Games Federation of India.
More than 1700 students took part in the event which was held at Vellalar Vidyalaya CBSE School, Erode. Harimaran won gold in the Under 14 Boys under 55 kgs category. Harimaran has been selected for the National level competition to be held in Madhya Pradesh in December.
