Digoyay Singh and Shivam Kumawat (25 pts each) drove Rajasthan towards victory. While Kartnataka defeated Kerala by just 3 points in a close contest in Court 1, Achintya Krishna scored 29 points for his side.

In another boys match, Andhra pradesh claimed a thumping 120-54 win over Goa to register their first victory in the tournament. Khaleel Ghose was the leading scorer (50 pts) from the winning side.

It was not a good day on the field for Tamil Nadu boys team, as they lost to Haryana 82-63 in their opening game. Compensating the loss, Tamil Nadu girls team thrashed Madhya Pradesh 79-29 and emerged victorious.

In girls category, the defending champions Punjab started the season with a thrilling win 74-69 with Harsimra Kaur (26pts) and Kanisha (20 pts) emerging heroes for Punjab.
