JCT College of Engineering and Technology hosts 'Motocross Championship'


An inter-college event called 'The Auto-Fest Pravega 2016' was organised by the Department of Automobile Engineering of JCT College of Engineering and Technology from 1st - 2nd September 2016. 



The two-day event was inaugurated by R. Karthikeyan, Vertical Head - Consumer Products, Pricol Technologies Limited. Paper presentation, safe ride, bike stunts along with the custom/classic motoexpo were the events that took place on the inaugural day. 



Today, the event hosted the 'Motocross Championship' were the participants designed their own bikes using 75 cc and 100 cc engines. The race took place under two categories 75 c and 100 cc. Braking, acceleration and maneuverability were the parameters taken into consideration by the judges. Each team comprised of six members, 18 participants raced in the 75cc category and 12 participants raced in 100 cc category.







The 'Motocross Championship' was inaugurated by Dr. G. Ramesh Principal of JCT College of Engineering and Technology in the presence of Mr. S.A. Subramanian Chairman of the College and R. Durga Shankar Secretary of the College.
