Coimbatore: Coimbatore Government Arts College has a total of 20 courses including M.A. Tamil, English and History and M.Sc. Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry.
For the current academic year, 552 vacancies were declared for these courses and 1999 people applied for them.
Following this, a counselling for special quota students was held today. Of these, a total of 43 seats have allotted for the sports, ex-servicemen and the physically challenged quotas.
Accordingly, 151 people had applied for the sports quota, 13 for the ex-servicemen quota and 24 for the disabled quota.
The counselling for these applications took place today and a total of 21 seats were filled. General counselling will take place tomorrow.
