Education Officers ordered to accept application for National Best Teachers Award till June 20th.
Coimbatore: Primary education officers have been instructed to inform teachers to apply for the National Best Teacher Award. The award is presented annually to teachers who work for education and community development on behalf of the central government. Teachers can apply directly on the Central Government website (http://nationalawardstoteachers.education.gov.in) by the 20th.
Only recipients of the State Best Teachers Award, working in government-aided schools, can apply for the award. Retirees, those engaged in office work, should not apply. Those who have worked for at least four months during the last academic year are advised to apply for the award. Primary education officers have been instructed to report this to all teachers.
