CXO talk series organised by GRG School of Management Studies
Coimbatore: GRG School of Management Studies organised a CXO talk on 22 May, 2021. Gauri Das, Vice President and Head – HR, India Factoring and Finance Solutions Pvt. Ltd., Mumbai was the guest speaker and spoke on the topic “Resilience and Self- Leadershipâ€. She spoke on how never giving up hope plays an important role in one’s success. Das urged the students to be resilient and not to be dejected when facing failure. She explained through the stories of popular and successful people how through determination and self-belief they achieved their goals, and urged students to take ownership of their life.
On 5th June, the guest speaker was Thomas Paulose, General Manager, Elgi Equipments Ltd, Coimbatore. He spoke on the topic “Taking on Goliath: Competing with Multinationals and Global Brandsâ€. Paulose described the journey of Elgi Equipments from a small company based out of Coimbatore to becoming the number 2 company in India that manufactures oil-free compressors. He spoke about the challenges that Elgi faced as a small domestic company aspiring to create a space dominated by multinationals and big brands. Paulose attributed the company’s success to the emphasis on People, Product and Process.
