KIT organizes seminar on National Girl Child Day

The Karpagam Institute of Technology organized an online seminar on Monday to share and spread the health and hygiene prospects to empower a girl child, on the occasion of National Girl Child Day.


Coimbatore: The Karpagam Institute of Technology organized an online seminar on Monday on the occasion of National Girl Child Day.

The Women Empowerment Club in association with KIT’s Innovation Council organized the seminar on “Girl Child - Healthy Habits for Happy Life” on Monday. Dr. B Sathiya Thilaga Chief Consultant, ARSA Siddha Clinic and Assistant Professor, R.V.S.Siddha Medical College and Hospital, Coimbatore participated as chief guest.

The programme focused on sharing and spreading awareness and need on empowering girl children about their health and hygiene. A descriptive and visual presentation on personal hygiene was arranged by the resource person.

She encouraged the students and faculty to take responsibility for their health and cleanliness in a friendly environment to remain mentally, physically and socially healthy. This seminar educated the participants on how to take care of hand, body, tooth, foot, and cloth’s hygiene in day-to-day life in the presence and the absence of certain facilities.

A total 254 participants attended the one-hour session.
