Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Hockey Website Launch and 50-year celebration of TNAU Hockey
Coimbatore: The Dean, Centre for Students Welfare& Tamil Nadu Agricultural University Hockey Fraternity jointly celebrated 50 years of TNAU Hockey (1972-2022)
V. Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor TNAU inaugurated the 50 years of TNAU Hockey celebrations and launched the website (https://tnauhf.in/). She delivered the Presidential address for the event about the pride of being a part of TNAU Hockey and the importance of Sports in career development for motivating the students.
A speech about 50 years of TNAU hockey was delivered by S. Indirajith, Vice – President, TNAU Hockey Fraternity. The felicitation address was delivered by G. Krishnamohan, President, TNAU Hockey Fraternity. N. Maragatham, Dean (Centre for Students Welfare), TNAU, N. VenkatesanPalanisamy, Dean (Agriculture), AC & RI, TNAU, A. Raviraj, Dean (Agrl. Engineering), AEC & RI, TNAU, V. Balasubramani, Controller of Examinations, TNAU, R. Ravikesavan, Director (CPBG), TNAU, B. Gururaj Singh, Joint Director of Agriculture (Rtd.), Chennai, V. Thirunavukarasu, IFS, Principal, CASFOS, Coimbatore and S. Ramasubramaniam, IFS, Conservator of Forest & Field Director, Anamalai Tiger Reserve, Coimbatore among many others graced the occasion with their presence.
A grand ceremonial welcome was given by R. Gowtham, EC Member TNAU Hockey Fraternity. Later the Vice-Chancellor inaugurated the KICK–OF–MATCH between the TNAU student team and the TNAU veterans. The event came to a close with the Vote of Thanks that was delivered by the Women's Hockey team captain P. Ponnuchakkammal, Ph.D. Scholar (SWCE), TNAU.
