Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran has said that students can apply for admission to music college.
Coimbatore District Collector Sameeran has said in a press release:-
Tamilnadu Government Music College, Coimbatore, which is run under the Department of Arts and Culture, is offering applications for admission to students for music training.
The age requirement is 17 years to 22 years with Plus 2 pass for admission with three year degrees and diploma courses in Bachelor of Music in vocals, Veena, Violin, Bharathanatyam and 16 years to 21 years with 10th pass for admission in Diploma program in vocals, Veena, Violin, Bharatanatyam, Nathaswaram and Thavil.
To enroll in a one-year music teacher training course, candidate should have degree in B.A., must be 18 to 25 years of age with music or music degree qualification. There is no age limit above 16 years with 10th pass for two year certificate course in evening music college in sections like vocal, veena, violin.
Tuition fee details for the above music courses: BA Music Rs 1480 per year Charter Diploma and Musician Apprenticeship Rs.1480 per year 750 evening music college is Rs.500 per annum. Students will also be given a scholarship of Rs 500 per month.
A free travel bus card will be provided. Candidates can apply at www.artandCulture.tn.gov.in website.
