Freshers' Day 2022 today at Sri Krishna Arts and Science College

Coimbatore: Sri Krishna Arts and Science College held its Freshers' Day 2022 for the new students who have joined the college in this academic year (2022-23) on Monday. 2,710 students who have joined the college in this academic year attended the Freshers' Day event with their parents.



"Chinthanai Kavignar" Dr. Kavidasan, Director - Roots Industries India Limited, Coimbatore was the Chief Guest. S.Malarvizhi, Chairperson and Managing Trustee, Sri Krishna Institutions (SKI) presided. K.Adithya, Trustee, SKI delivered a Special Address.

S.Malarvizhi, Chairperson, Sri Krishna Institutions (SKI) urged the students to feel that this is their college and their place to strive and thrive.



Addressing the students she said "You are at the tender stage of life, and you should enjoy this freedom with discipline, at the same time make sure that you fulfill your duty, achieve your goals and make your parents happy", she expressed."Digital transformations have changed everything today. Hence excelling only in one skill, one course wouldn't give you advantage," she stressed, and highlighted about the flexible Credit Based System at the college through which the students can learn other domains also. "Feel free to interact with all of us. Never feel disconnected, as you are from different districts. We are with you. Have that feeling of oneness", she said.

K.Adithya, Trustee, SKI wanted them all to figure out what they wish to be and can be in the first 6 months of their collegiate life. He announced that in a few months the college will have the construction of an international standard athletic ground, foot ball court, volleyball court completed, and students can have the perfect ambience tofulfill their sports aspirations.

Addressing the students, Kavidasan said, the greatest transformation that is introduced in the 21st century is the Hope to Become what you Believe. The opportunities to become a successful person are limitless today. Students should enjoy collegiate life and mingle with all but they should melt with none. They should lose track of their destination, he stressed. Kavidasan wanted all the Freshers to explore opportunities in all reputed industries of various sectors and take steps to meet the skills and qualifications set by them from now. He advised them to be Creative, develop good Communication skills and Competency, improve their personal Character, ensure to fulfill their Commitment, especially to their parents and develop the Courage to face challenges.

Dr. K.S.Jeen Marseline, Dean, Computer Science welcomed the gathering. Prof.P.Rajan, Dean, Management Science proposed the vote of thanks. Dr.K.Sundararaman, Chief Executive Officer and Dr.R.Vijayasamundeswari, Vice-Principal of the college attended the event.

"Any graduate of yesterday who has no interest to learn today will become uneducated tomorrow," he cautioned, and wanted them to be life-long learners.

Later in the event, Toppers in 12 th std.exams among those who joined the college were rewarded.
