Every member of the Alumni contributed to creating an endowment in TNAU by the name 'AGRI-HORTI 1977-81 ENDOWMENT FUND' for an amount of Rs. 5,00,000 which was presented to the TNAU Vice-Chancellor.
The old students of B.Sc (Agriculture) and B.Sc (Horticulture) who studied in TNAU in the year 1977-81 participated with gusto in the Reunion Meet held on July 30 at the TNAU campus in Coimbatore.
The Reunion which was held at the Freeman Hall of TNAU, a Heritage building was emotional for 54 Alumni of the 1977-81 batch, who were reuniting from across India, USA and New Zealand after 41 years, since their graduation from TNAU. The Chief Guest, Dr. V Geethalakshmi, the Vice-Chancellor of TNAU released 'Tatler 81 2.0 version,' a book that captured the vicissitude of life of every old student of the batch.

The Vice-Chancellor appreciated the gesture of the Alumni in creating the Endowment Fund while highlighting the vision of TNAU to take it to higher levels of performance.
The Alumni who are now senior citizens went down memory lane, cherishing old memories and haunts as they traversed across the TNAU campus with their batchmates.
