As a part of their visit, they held an enlightening event about the Observatory for high school students.
They were lucky to have Prof.Tushar Prabhu - The master brain behind the Observatory's setup, Abhilash Krishnan- MD Neydhal & UAE chain of restaurants, Dr.Aswin Sekhar-Astrophysicist Paris Observatory and lastly Major general NRK Babu - Ex Indian Army who served our country for 38 years to enlighten them.
The whole event was held in 3 parts- a lecture on Indian Observational history and the story of IAO by Prof. Tushar Prabhu, celebration of the achievement of Dr. Aswin Sekhar for the honor of having a celestial body named after him (provided by IAU) and lastly a short glance of what to expect at Hanle (regarding the weather and the location) by Major General NRK babu.
Abhilash also shared about his experiences on the travel. Loaded up with enough facts and caution by these great minds on Hanle's Observatory, they are now ready to go.
