The eye tests were conducted in three stages and the villagers who were found to have weak eyesight were prescribed perfectly fitting spectacles with lenses as per their required powers.
Coimbatore: National Service Scheme Unit I&II of AJK College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore (Autonomous) an A+ accredited institution by NAAC, & Madurai Eye Center Jointly organised Free Eye Check up Camp on 7.09.2023 in the Puthupathi Tribal village.
The eye tests were conducted in three stages and the villagers who were found to have weak eyesight were prescribed perfectly fitting spectacles with lenses as per their required powers.
Each school student and parents were provided with required counselling regarding their eyesight and they were also advised about the importance of wearing spectacles on a regular basis to protect their precious eyes. Madurai Eye Centre also offered to provide free spectacles and also assured to carry cataract operation for 3 people in the village.
The event was a fruitful one as many villagers and school students benefited.
