Nilgiris Mountain Rail service suspended for three days - Southern Railways

The Nilgiris : As the rail tracks between Ooty to Coonoor has been damaged after a dozen cases of boulder-falling and landslides in the ghat region over the week, the rail service has been suspended for next three days.


The Nilgiris : As the rail tracks between Ooty to Coonoor has been damaged after a dozen cases of boulder-falling and landslides in the ghat region over the week, the rail service has been suspended for next three days. 

As an act of precaution and with increased risk of landslides, the Southern Railways has cancelled the mountain train service on August 11, 12 and 13.



Presently, the train which departed from Mettupalayam has been stalled mid-way Ooty due to a major landslide.
