Applications invited for awards in honour of individuals and organizations who serve differently abled

Coimbatore: The District Collector, K Rajamani has invited applicantions from individuals and organisations eligible for awards given on behalf of the District Welfare of Differently Abled who have served differently abled people. The award function is to be held on December 3 at Chennai, commemorating World Differently Abled Day.

Coimbatore: The District Collector, K Rajamani has invited applications from individuals and organisations eligible for awards given on behalf of the District Welfare of Differently Abled who have served differently abled people. The award function is to be held on December 3 at Chennai, commemorating World Differently Abled Day.

Dr V Saroja, the Minister for Social Welfare and Nutritious Noon Meal Program will present the awards. The awardees will receive a certificate and 10 gm of gold coin for their service toward the differently-abled.

Eligible applicants can download the application form from www.scd.tn.gov.in and submit the filled-in application forms to the District Welfare of Differently Abled office at the District Collectorate before November 4. 

The award categories are :

i) Award for the teacher in the primary level training centre for excellence in training and education for the differently abled. 

ii) A differently abled individual who had proved to be a good employee or a self-employed person (2019 - 2020).

iii) Award for the best company that employed more number of differently abled people (2019-2020).

iv) Award for an outstanding organization for training differently abled people (2019 - 2020).

v) Award for the best social activist who had contributed for the rehabilitation of the differently abled (2019 - 2020).

vi) Best Teacher Award for Excellence in Training and Education for the differently abled (2019-2020).
