Coimbatore: Due to the heavy incessant rains overnight and over the last 2 days, Coimbatore District Collector K Rajamani has announced that schools and colleges have to be closed today. 

This comes as a major relief for parents as picking up and dropping kids has been a pain. The exceptionally bad roads in all parts of Coimbatore have only made things worse.
