Coimbatore: As the consecration of Lakshmi Narsimhar temple here in Townhall is ongoing today, the city police have announced traffic diversions from morning 7 AM - 12 PM. Vehicular traffic passing via Townhall and Ukkadam has been diverted via various routes.
Coimbatore: As the consecration of Lakshmi Narsimhar temple here in Townhall is ongoing today, the city police have announced traffic diversions from morning 7 AM - 12 PM. Vehicular traffic passing via Townhall and Ukkadam has been diverted via various routes.
Arrangements have been made for all the public attending the Maha Kumbabishekha festival to park their vehicles in Ukkadam new bridge.
Diversions
1. Vehicles going to Avinashi road and Gandhipuram will have to take Sungam road and reach Classic towers to reach their destination.
2. Vehicles coming from Ukkadam to Gandipark, RS Puram, Thadagam Road and Mettupalayam Road area must pass through Perur Bypass Road, Chetty Road and Sullivan street.
3. Vehicles travelling from Thadagam area to the Ukkadam road must travel via Gandhi park Ponnayarajapuram, Sokkampudur, Shivalaya Junction and Perur road.
4. Vehicles travelling from Mettupalayam Road and Avinashi Road to Ukkadam area must go through Avinashi Road Bridge, Goodshed Road, Big Bazaar Road and Vincent Road.
5. Vehicles going to Ukkadam via Town Hall should take NH road and take a turn near Raja theatre and take the Perur bypass road.
A notice board has also been set-up to stop the public from parking vehicles along the road. The city traffic police have requested the public to co-operate to these temporary traffic diversions.
