Chennai: CM Edappadi Palanisamy announced that 1925 farmers will be each given 1000 country chicks at 50% subsidy in the rural areas.
He also announced that feed for one month and a farm will be set-up for the farmers at a budget of 14.73 crores.
This is a welcome move to encourage the farming of country chicken as the landscape is dominated by broiler chicken.
