Coimbatore Corporation to fine people for not wearing masks

Coimbatore: To curb the spread of novel coronavirus, Coimbatore Corporation has made it mandatory for people to wear face mask while stepping out. People who break the rule will be fined Rs. 100.

Coimbatore: To curb the spread of novel coronavirus, Coimbatore Corporation has made it mandatory for people to wear face mask while stepping out. People who break the rule will be fined Rs. 100.

Corporation Commissioner and Special Officer, J Sravan Kumar through an official announcement has made it clear that people should wear face masks at all times and not remove them for convenience. 

As per the notification, stepping out of homes without masks will be an offence now and Rs 100 will be imposed as a penalty.

The Commissioner has requested the people living within Coimbatore Corporation limits to adhere to the lockdown norms and wear face masks at all time.
