Coimbatore: The District Collector has called for applications from women for the Kalpana Chawla award given for courage and daring enterprise.

Coimbatore: The District Collector has called for applications from women for the Kalpana Chawla award given for courage and daring enterprise.

The Coimbatore District Collector K. Rajamani has called for applications from the public to apply for the Kalpana Chawla award. In a press note, he said, "The Kalpana Chawla award is presented to applicants for courage and daring enterprise by the TN government. The CM presents the award to the recipient on Independence Day each year. Female applicants from Tamilnadu, who have performed courageous and daring deeds can apply for this award."

Suitable applicants can provide detailed bio-data, pertinent information and supportive documents to the District Social Office operating at the District Collector's office before 5 PM on July 29, 2020, informed the District Collector.
