257 TASMAC liquor stores open in Coimbatore today with 50 per cent seats
Coimbatore: 257 TASMAC liquor stores have opened in Coimbatore district today after 9 months gap.
TASMAC liquor stores in Tamil Nadu have been closed since March 25 due to the Coronavirus lockdown. Although various relaxations were announced during the lockdown and TASMAC stores were reopened but the government did not allow toreopen bars.
Now, the Tamil Nadu government has given permission to open TASMAC bars by following all the Coronavirus Prevention Guidelines. Following this, TASMAC bars in Coimbatore district have reopened today after 9 months.
TASMAC officials said, "A total of 257 TASMAC bars have been opened in Coimbatore district. Steps have been taken to provide sanitizers to those who come here and all are ordered to wear a mask. TASMAC Bar owners have been told that only 50 per cent seats must be occupied."
