Buildings which are built on the tracks of water are given notice to evacuate by the Coimbatore corporation.
Coimbatore: Lanka Corner is located near the road from government hospital Coimbatore to Periya Kadai street. A railway track is also near the Lanka Corner.
During rainy days the area gets filled with rainwater which creates heavy traffic in the area. The canal near Lanka Corner takes the rain water to the Valangulam Lake. The Coimbatore corporation has given notice to evacuate to the 20 buildings which are built on the encroached land near.
The officials also said that severe actions will be taken on those who don't evacuate the building as soon as possible.
