Beware of fake websites -Coimbatore passport Officer


Coimbatore: In an effort to stop people falling for fraudsters duping them by providing passport facilities, Coimbatore Passport office have released a statement warning the public to be cautious

In an official letter released by Coimbatore Passport office, under the Ministry of External Affairs, it said “It is learnt that some fake websites are functioning with domain address like www.passportonlineindia.com in the guise of extending various passport facilities at exorbitant charges apart from receiving personal information from the public."

The letter also warns people to stay alert from the fake websites and that applicants applying on it would end up compromising their own personal information, which may misused apart from losing money. 

The letter addressed by Coimbatore Passport Officer, K Palravindran warned applicants to be cautious and use only the official websitewww.passportindia.gov.in.
